Town Hall Meeting Scheduled for NW Charlotte Flood Victims

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- The American Red Cross is opening a shelter in the Huntersville area for residents affected by the Catawba River flooding.

The shelter is open at the Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church at 3413 Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.

A town hall meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m at the shelter to inform the residents of the conditions. Representatives from Charlotte Fire, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), American Red Cross, Duke Energy and Medic will be present at the meeting.

Those seeking shelter from the Red Cross are reminded to bring medication and mobility aids.
