CHARLOTTE, NC -- Transgender students and their supporters protested outside Tuesday's school board meeting.  The students are asking to be able to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with.  They are also asking the district to provide training for faculty and to change the dress code.

"Different issues with bathrooms and locker rooms so this affects me," said Northwest School of the Arts Senior Contessa Cuellar.  "But I know that, you know, it also affects all of my transgender siblings and brothers and sisters."
