Two Arrested in Lancaster Murder, One Suspect Reported Shooting to Police

LANCASTER, S.C.-- Two suspects are behind bars in connection with a murder that occurred at the end of January.

Officers responded to a call in the area of St. Paul Street in Lancaster January 26 where shots were reported. The victim, Kevisis Emmanuel Anthony, 32, was brought to the Springs Memorial Hospital Emergency Room by one of the suspects. He died two days later at Carolinas Medical Center.

Ketta Tomaka Evans, 34, and David Jamarcus Stalk, 23, have both been arrested and charged with crimes in connection with the shooting death of Anthony. Evans is charged with murder and attempted armed robbery. Stalk is charged with murder, attempted armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

According to police, Evans lured Anthony to her home where Stalk was waiting to rob him. When Anthony attempted to flee, Stalk fired several times, hitting him in the head once in the back of the head. Stalk later called 911 to report the shooting.

Both suspects are in the Lancaster County Detention Center with their bonds denied.
