HICKORY, N.C.--A water main break in Hickory caused traffic issues along Interstate 40 Sunday afternoon. 

Witnesses say a vehicle ran over a fire hydrant causing water to flood the road.  As you can see in the video, the water was shooting out of the ground. 

The water main break caused traffic backups for approximately 30 minutes before crews could repair the damaged waterline.
