GRAHAM, NC -- A Pennsylvania woman accused of having a gun on the campus of a university in North Carolina has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.

According to authorities, 18-year-old Alexis Morgan Gray of Holland, Pa., is accused of having a gun at Elon University on Nov. 25. She is not an Elon student.

In a 911 call released from Alamance Police Department, Gray's parent's called authorities to alert them that their daughter was on the way to Elon to see her ex-boyfriend. Authorities were able to stop Gray upon arrival at the campus. She was arrested and taken into custody immediately.

Gray had been at Alamance Regional Medical Center since her arrest. She was released Tuesday and formally charged with felony possession of a weapon on a college campus.

District Court Judge Tom Lambeth ordered that Gray be taken to the Central Regional Hospital in Butner for a mental health evaluation and any treatment doctors feel is necessary.

It was not clear if she has an attorney.
