CHARLOTTE, NC- Lance Armstrong sat down with Oprah to talk more about doping Friday night. His loyal fans and Livestrong supporters must now decide if they can look past his mistake.

From political affairs to animal cruelty chargers and a trading scandal - for celebrities, second chances are the name of the game.

"All of us need a second chance. I mean, especially when someone is in the lime light, it's even more important," said Kim Dent, an Uptown Charlotte resident.

For local high profile scandals like Paula Broadwell's affair and former Charlotte Hornets owner's sexual assault charges, some folks always root for a comeback.

Frank Farley, president of the American Psychological Association, says America is th land of second chances.

But for Lance Armstrong, the test of time might not be enough.

“Any sane person will never allow him to get back into the likes because he's a dishonest person," said Eugene Field, a Tennessee resident.

“Being sorry that you got caught instead of being sorry for what you did is a huge mistake,” said Melinda Morris Zanoni, CEO of Legacy Talent & Entertainment.

Morris Zanoni says an Armstrong comeback will take more than an apology.

“Put his energies into Livestrong, into fighting cancer, anti-bullying is a very hot topic right now so he can go be a speaker at schools," said Zanoni.

She tells her local celebrity clients if they want forgiveness,

“Tell it all, tell it fast and tell the truth because if you take away people's ammunition, they have nothing to shoot you with," said Zanoni.
