Charlotte, NC-  Meet 14 year old Elijah Clark.  In his short life, Elijah has already had to deal with more major medical problems than anyone should have to.  He was born without hands and forearms.  That, however, hasn't stopped him from living life and encouraging those around him.

We introduced you to Elijah several years ago when he was making waves on the soccer field in Mooresville.  He was unique because of his physical challenges yet his ability with the ball.  Today its health that once again encourages FOX Charlotte to your attention.

Right now, Elijah is laying in a hospital bed at Brenner Childrens hospital in Winston Salem.  When asked what he looks forward to daily, Elijah says simply "food, just food."  Its the little things in life than mean the most to him.
Elijah has cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation for months.  While he is sidelined from soccer and constantly hooked up to tubes, Elijah says he plans to be back on the soccer field by the beginning of the year.
