WASHINGTON, D.C.--The gun control debate is likely to heat up in Washington this week.  On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden will present to the President a list of recommendations they believe will reduce gun violence.

It includes banning assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines as well as tightening background checks.

The NRA says it's gearing up for a policy battle.

At least one senator wants stores that sell weapons to take the first step and stop sales of assault-style guns until congress votes on legislation to curb gun violence.
