New Donald Sterling Audio Recordings Released
LOS ANGELES, CA -- A new audio recording reportedly features Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling insisting that he is not racist. League Commissioner Adam Silver banned Sterling for life last week, and began the process of forcing him to sell his team.
The fallout came after audio recordings surfaced last month of Sterling making racial comments to his mistress concerning her relationship with NBA legend Magic Johnson. The following recordings were released by Radar Online:
"You think I'm racist? You think I have anything in the world but love for everybody?"
"You don't think that. You know I'm not a racist."
"You can't force someone to sell property in America."
"I'm a lawyer. That's my opinion."
An attorney for Sterling's wife, Shelly Sterling, says she wants to keep her 50 percent stake in the team if it is sold, and that she's been talking to NBA officials.
