HARTFORD, C.T.--A police officer in Connecticut helped save a dog by performing the Heimlich maneuver on the Shih Tzu. 

The pet's owners called for help after the dog choked on some raw hide and stopped breathing. 

The K-9 officer used his training to save the dog.
