CHARLOTTE , NC -- The last original American Idol judge is a judge no more.  Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Randy Jackson isn't leaving Idol, but he will switch positions to a mentor role.

Idol fans can expect an entirely new judging panel for the 2013 season.  The only confirmed judge is Mariah Carey.  The singing superstar reportedly signed a $17 million contract.

Rumors continue to swirl as to who will replace Idol's other departing judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.  Pop singer Nick Minaj is reportedly close to signing a deal.

Keith Urban,  Enrique Iglesias, and Idol runner-up Adam Lambert round out the list of potential judges.
