Wife Carrying Competition in MaineNEWRY, MAINE--A fierce competition gives news meaning to the vow, "To have and to hold." The 13th annual North America Wife Carrying Championship was held in Maine over the weekend. The course includes hurdles, sand traps and a water hole. The winners receive the woman's weight in beer and five times her weight in cash. A couple from Finland won with a time of 52:58. |
