COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — Four decades after a 36-person choir toured the South in 1972, most of its members were reunited at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Columbus.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports (http://bit.ly/SAYyQ1) that Sunday's event celebrated both a 40-year reunion of the Rose Hill Baptist Church youth choir and the church's homecoming.

In the summer of 1972, the choir traveled to the Georgia cities of Quitman, Homerville and Sylvania, and the North Carolina cities of Morehead City, Erwin, and Ridgecrest.

On Sunday, the reunited members of the group performed four songs during the morning service at Rose Hill Baptist.
