NC mountains look toward busy fall tourist seasonASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — As cooler temperatures and bright foliage begin to set in, people in the tourism industry are forecasting a strong fall season in the North Carolina mountains. Jeff Greiner runs Greiner's Asheville Treetops Adventure Park. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports Saturday (http://avlne.ws/QBTuf0) that Greiner expects he'll get up to 10,000 visitors this year, even as the economy continues to recover. Mountain areas have had a good year already. The paper reports that a warmer-than-average winter kept restaurants busy. And publicity from "The Hunger Games" movie, which was partially shot in the area, kept bringing visitors throughout the summer. The N.C. Department of Commerce's Division of Tourism, Film and Sports Development says tourists generated $783 million last year.
