NC marchers call for justice in week before Easter

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — A group is launching a march through eastern North Carolina to push for justice in the week ahead of the religious holiday most sacred to Christians.

The group Witness for Peace Southeast begins its annual Pilgrimage for Peace and Justice on Sunday in Wilmington. Marchers will spend each day of the week in different cities. The march winds through Goldsboro, Greenville, Durham, and Cary before ending on Good Friday in Raleigh.

This year's event ahead of the Easter holiday next weekend centers on immigration reform and ending the war on drugs.
