FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) — The Fort Bragg community is holding a remembrance service for a soldier who disappeared more than a year after leaving a bar in Fayetteville.
The Fayetteville Observer reported (http://bit.ly/17kFivE) that the service for 23-year-old Kelli Bordeaux will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hangar 4 at Pope Army Airfield. The 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion was Bordeaux's unit and its members are holding the service.
Authorities say Bordeaux left her apartment April 13, 2012, and headed to Froggy Bottoms, a bar about a half-mile from her home. She was last seen April 14, 2012, when she left the bar with a homeless sex offender who helped out at the business.
No one has been charged in her disappearance.
