CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Two men have been killed in a wreck on Interstate 77 in Charlotte, including one person who had gotten out to help.
The wreck happened late Monday and closed the northbound lanes of the highway for about three hours.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol has not released the victims' names.
Troopers say a minivan and an SUV sideswiped each other.
A person not involved in the wreck jumped out to help the driver of the SUV.
A passing tractor-trailer a few minutes later pushed the SUV and killed both men.
