8 Year Old Student Dies After Heart Attack At SchoolLINCOLN COUNTY, NC - An 8-year-old student at Pumpkin Center Intermediate School, who suffered a cardiac arrest Thursday morning, has died. Lincoln County EMS officials say they responded to the incident shortly after 8am. The boy was airlifted to CMC-Lincoln in critical condition, and later transferred to CMC Charlotte. Lincoln County Schools system said that the student passed away last night. The students at Pumpkin Center Intermediate School were informed this morning, and were on a special schedule. Counselors are at the school as well for students.
