Dixie Gun and Knife Show Reopens But No Outside Guns AllowedRaleigh,NC--The Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh was closed today after at least two people were injured in a accidental shooting. Reports say two people where taken away in ambulances after emergency crews responded to the scene around 1 p.m. Officials say a 12-gauge shotgun accidentally fired during a security check, Gary Wilson was the owner of the gun. Chief Joel Keith of the N.C. Dept. of Agriculture said, “I want to emphasize that this was an accident, I want to emphasize that at the time this gun was discharged no officer had touched that gun, had possession of that gun,” The Dixie Gun and Knife show will reopen today, but no outside guns are allowed in.
