Former CMS Teacher Charged in 30 Year Old Abuse Case

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A former teacher at a Charlotte-Mecklenburg School is charged in a child abuse case that happened 30 years ago.

The victim, who was 11 years old at the time of the incident, was a student of Monte Sue Diebolt, 73, at Marie G. Davis Elementary School. Diebolt is accused of having indecent liberties with the boy from August 1982 to June 1983.

Diebolt lives in Statesboro, Georgia. She was a teacher at Marie G. Davis from 1972-1985 and taught at Northwest Junior High School from 1985-1989.
