Hickory Police Looking for Wells Fargo Bank Robber

HICKORY, N.C. -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a downtown Hickory bank.

On Friday, March 15, around 10:00 a.m., a black male dressed in a dark jacket, dark toboggan and a black back brace walked into the Wells Fargo Bank on 200 1st Ave NW.

The man approached the teller stating he had a gun and demanded money.

When the suspect received an undisclosed amount of money, he fled on foot.

He is approximately six feet tall, weighing around 250 lbs. Police think he is in his late 40's.

Hickory Police are investigating the incident.  Anyone who has information is urged to contact the Hickory Police Department at 328-5551.
