Hickory Sex Offender Convicted On Four Felony Charges

 CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- Sex offender Jeremy Leatherman, 23, was convicted on four felony charges in court this week.

Leatherman was convicted for indecent liberties with a child, third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, convicted sex offender on premises designated for children and failure to report a new address as a convicted sex offender. 

Leatherman was sentenced to no less than 26 months and no more than 41 months in the N.C. Division of Adult Correction. 

He was also ordered to register with the N.C. Sex Offender Registry and be subjected to satellite based monitoring for the rest of his life.

The incidents occurred in December 2013 and February 2014.

Leatherman was convicted for felony sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child under 15 in June of 2009.
