SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C.--Cruel and unusual punishment is a phrase that could be used at a North Carolina prison and it's in the form of extreme hot sauce.

Six inmates in Sampson County say correctional officers forced them to rub habanero hot sauce on their private parts and it left blisters.

One prison staffer has been re-assigned and another one is on leave.  The prison has asked the SBI to investigate.
