New Unemployment Limits In North CarolinaCHARLOTTE,NC--If your getting unemployment in North Carolina you may be affected by this new change. Governor Pat McCrory signed an unemployment insurance overhaul bill into law Tuesday, it will limit the amount of time you receive unemployment to 20 weeks. The move will allow the state to repay $2.5 billion to the federal government that Democrats say will hurt struggling workers.
