Park Church Hosts Run/Walk To Help End Childhood Hunger In Charlotte

by Libby Weihsmann

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Park Church hosted the 5K Spring Sprint To Stomp Out Childhood Hunger on Saturday morning to raise money and provide awareness of the connection between hunger and childhood obesity.

Every summer, the Park Church hosts a summer feeding program for children that may have trouble receiving at least one meal a day.

Some of the proceeds from Saturday's run and walk will help to increase the number of children served during the summer feeding program. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to A Child's Place, an organization that helps homeless children in Charlotte.
