HAMLET, N.C.-- Authorities say an Anson County man was shot and killed by a Richmond County man.

Jermaine Lindsey, 34, was shot outside of an apartment building on Henderson Street on Monday. He was airlifted to a hospital in Chapel Hill but died on Tuesday.

Police charged 19-year-old Deshawn Kelly for Lindsey's death. Kelly was found in Cheraw, S.C. and was taken into custody on Monday evening. Reports say his motive for the shooting is still unclear.
