Protests Against New DMV Restrictions

CHARLOTTE,NC--A proposed North Carolina drivers license continues to spark protests.

Undocumented young people granted the ability to defer their deportation, will soon be able to drive in the state.

Many say they're thankful for a chance to work and live as legal residents but the new license will have the words "no lawful status" in big bold letters.

There's concern that this will open some people up for racial profiling.

On March 25th, the DMV will begin issuing licenses to individuals brought to the U.S as children who's parents were undocumented.
