Search Warrant Leads to Indoor Marijuana Grow Operation

DENVER, N.C. -- Deputies say while serving a search warrant they discovered an indoor marijuana grow operation at an apartment in southeastern Lincoln County.

Investigators say after receiving a tip, they secured a search warrant for an apartment on Dartwood Lane in Stanley. When they arrived, they found several buckets, water pumps, grow lights, chemicals and nutrients as well as two full grown marijuana plants in a back bedroom. 

Authorities arrested 30-year-old Carlton Williams in connection to the bust. He is charged with one felony county of manufacturing a controlled substance schedule VI and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. He was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
