Single Vehicle Crash Kills Mint Hill ManMINT HILL, N.C. -- A Mint Hill man died after a single vehicle accident Friday night. Mint Hill Police were dispatched to the intersection of Truelight Church Road and Lawyers Road just before 9:00 p.m. The call was in reference to a hit and run involving property damage. While responding to the call, police discovered the suspect vehicle had wrecked in the 8000 block of Trulight Church Road. The vehicle, a 2001 Chevy truck, struck a brick mailbox, overturned, and then came to a rest on all four wheels. The driver, identified as Adam Lepisto, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The Mint Hill Police Department’s Traffic Team, along with CMPD’s Major Crash Unit, is investigating the crash. At this time it is not clear if alcohol was a factor, but speed definitely was. Officers are waiting for toxicology results from the Medical Examiner’s Office. |
