Woman Charged for Stealing, Cashing Checks

OAKBORO, N.C. -- A Stanly County woman faces charges for stealing checks and cashing them without authorization.

Deputies arrested Jessica Gentry Monday for taking two checks from Jeffrey Mills. She is charged with two counts of forgery of instrument, two counts of uttering forged instrument and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Gentry is being held on $25,000 bond in the Stanly County Detention Center.
