Police have identified the woman killed as 60-year old Donna Solomon.

The wreck happened just before 9 a.m. at Beatties Ford Road and Rhian Brook Lane.

In a release sent out by CMPD Major Crash Unit, we learned that 19 year old Warnella Bryant was driving her Mustang inbound on Beatties Ford Road at the same time Melvin Solomon was driving his Chrysler Lebaron outbound on Beatties Ford.

Bryant drove her vehicle into the oncoming lane of travel. She crossed the double yellow line and hit Solomon's car nearly head-on.

Donna Solomon, who was the passenger in the Lebaron,  was pronounced dead at the scene. Melvin Solomon was taken by ambulance to CMC with serious injuries. Bryant was transported to CMC by Med Center Air.
