Jeff Jackson Wins Vote To Replace Clodfelter In District 37
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Assistant District Attorney and North Carolina Army National Guard member Jeff Jackson will take Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelter's seat in the Senate.
A special election to fill the N.C. Senate District 37 seat was held on Saturday afternoon. The voters in the special election were comprised of 50 members of the County Executive Committee residing in Senate District 37.
Clodfelter stepped down from his duties as a District 37 Senator to take over as Charlotte mayor after former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon was arrested.
Jackson graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended law school at the University of North Carolina School of Law.
