CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- North Carolina remains one of nine battleground states in the race for the White House.
Team Obama is hoping to gain momentum and support as Vice President Joe Biden visits Charlotte on Tuesday.
Volunteers were at the campaign headquarters Sunday making signs and other preparations. Sunday was also the last day to pick up tickets to hear the VP speak.
The latest Wall Street Journal marist poll of likely voters has President Obama leading Mitt Romney 48 to 46 percent here in North Carolina.
