Mayor Foxx Not Seeking Re-Election
by FOX News Rising

CHARLOTTE, NC: Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx will not seek a third term in office. In a statement, Foxx says "My grandfather often paraphrased the Book of Ecclesiates when he said, 'There is a season for everything under the sun.' I remember these words as I announce today my decision not to run for re-election."

Anthony Foxx was first elected as Mayor in 2009. He's been reported to be in the running for the Secretary of Transportation position in President Obama's cabinet. Foxx did not elaborate on his future plans.
