Senator Kay Hagan in West Charlotte Talking About the Equal Pay BillCHARLOTTE, N.C. - Senator Kay Hagan was at Dress for Success on Monday where she talked about The Paycheck Fairness Act which she co-sponsored. Hagan says that for every dollar made by a man, women only make 81 cents. If passed, the bill would require employers to prove that pay differences are based on legitimate, job related reasons. The bill would also keep bosses from retaliating against employees who talk about their salaries with co-workers and would create a negotiation training program for women and girls. |
