CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Urban Sleek to Suburban Chic, Charlotte's neighborhoods have it all. If you take a drive through Mecklenburg County, it's no surprise the Queen City if often named one of the  best cities in the U.S. to live thanks to quality of life, affordable housing & utility costs and diverse housing options in vibrant neighborhoods where no two are alike.

For Noda resident Mike Watson, he enjoys the eclectic vibe over in his neck of the woods. "I feel like NoDa is a building block of Charlotte," says Watson, "... I like that I could buy an old mill house and convert it however I want and have it express what I like about living here; the diversity and the arts."

Located in South Charlotte is Ballantyne- known for its shopping centers, eye-pleasing landscapes and beautiful houses.

Pineville resident, George Bradin enjoys his peaceful neighborhood but also likes taking advantage of the nearby Ballantyne attraction. "It's a great place for shopping and the people are very nice," says Bradin, ".. it's relaxing. Even after 16 years, we still enjoy it."

Twenty-Five miles north of the city is the lakeside town of Cornelius. It belongs to water enthusiasts like Doug & Julie Fritz. "I would say I'm a water person... a water-junkie," says Doug.

Like many Charlotteans, Julie was transferred to the QC for work and when house-hunting, settling down somewhere on Lake Norman's 520 miles of shoreline was a must. "Being on the water is great because if you have family and friends come, there's always something to do- go on the kayaks, out on a boat ride- it's a lot of fun," says Doug.

In the heart of Uptown are the Madison Condominiums. One upscale, 3200 square foot, 3 balcony condo is where Courtney Zuniga and her family call home. She says they love the energy and convenience of living in the city.  "When we do have fun events Uptown, we love sitting up and people-watching," says Zuniga.

The living options in and around the Queen City are endless. Whether you want a bungalow in Ballantyne, a house on the lake, a place in NoDa, or a condo in Uptown, there's a place to call home for everyone. And that's what is good about Charlotte.
