LIBERTY, S.C. (AP) — Four people have been found shot to death at two adjacent homes in South Carolina and investigators believe the gunman is among the dead.
Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan said officers went to one of the homes in Liberty around 6:30 a.m. Friday after a man called his mother and said he was going to kill himself.
Morgan says deputies found the man and another person dead in his home, and two more people dead in a neighboring home.
Investigators say it appears the victims and the shooter are related, but they are awaiting the coroner's office to identify them.
Morgan says deputies don't have a motive for the killings.
The homes are about five miles outside Liberty, in an area of mixed farms and suburban residences in the state's west.
