FORT MILL, S.C. (AP) — Christian singers who once performed for Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker's "Praise the Lord" ministry are returning to the former site of Heritage USA for a reunion.

The Herald of Rock Hill reports Friday (http://bit.ly/trXCp1 ) that the Artists Music Guild is holding a convention this weekend at the site of the former Christian theme park. Performances include a PTL reunion. Guild president David Cook performed 28 times on the Bakkers' televangelist program.

The Bakkers' hosted "The PTL Club" from 1974 to 1987, when Jim Bakker was disgraced by a sex scandal and later convicted of fraud and conspiracy.

Cook says performers were sent packing, but they did nothing wrong. He says it's a heart-warming feeling that singers are returning on their own terms to share their talent.
