Former coach pleads guilty to 22 child sex charges
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A former South Carolina teacher and coach has pleaded guilty to nearly two dozen child sex charges.
Louis ReVille entered the plea in Charleston Wednesday to charges including criminal sexual conduct with a minor, lewd contact on a minor and criminal solicitation of a minor.
ReVille worked at various schools, camps, churches and recreation programs in the area during the past decade and was arrested in October. His alleged victims have also brought several civil lawsuits against The Citadel, where ReVille worked as a summer camp counselor, and a private school in Dorchester County where he once taught.
In court Wednesday, one of ReVille's alleged victims told the court he ended up on drugs after the abuse and thought about killing himself.
ReVille was expected to be sentenced later Wednesday.
