Kids back with SC parents after dog mauled brotherSUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina couple again has custody of two children taken from them in April after a family pet mauled the children's brother. Quinton and Chantel McGrew of Ridgeville were reunited with their parents Thursday. The children's 2-month-old brother Aiden was dismembered and killed by the family pet while sleeping in an infant swing. The children's father, 28-year-old Quintin Harold McGrew, was sleeping in a room nearby and has been charged with illegal neglect of a child. At the time of the mauling, the other two children were removed from the home and placed with their grandmother. A court order says both the Department of Social Services and a court-appointed guardian agree it is in the children's best interest to be returned to their parents. |
