SC deputy charged with assaulting girlfriendLEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina sheriff's deputy is looking for a new job after being charged with domestic violence. Lexington County Sheriff James Metts fired 43-year-old Timothy Anglin after learning about the State Law Enforcement Division arrest warrant. Agents charged Anglin with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. The affidavit states Anglin kicked his live-in girlfriend during a fight, fracturing the woman's leg. Anglin did not return a call seeking comment. If convicted of the felony, he could face between one and ten years in prison. |
