3 more arrested in Pee Dee on dog fighting charges

LORIS, S.C. (AP) — Horry County Police have charged three more men with animal fighting after their pictures were found on a cellphone showing dogs fighting. Five people have now been charged in the case.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (http://bit.ly/T2MILX ) that three men from Loris were arrested Thursday and charged with animal fighting. They are being held at the county jail pending a bond hearing.

The case started last month when an Horry County police officer found a cellphone on a road in the Cedar Branch community. As he looked through the phone to try to determine the owner, he found pictures of dogs fighting.

Two other men identified from pictures on the phone were arrested at the time. They have both been released on bond.
