Man killed after colliding with tractor trailerLITTLE ROCK, S.C. (AP) — A Dillon man has been killed after driving into a tractor trailer that was backing up on a South Carolina road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says 43-year-old William Lidge Jr. was driving south on a Dillon County road at around 7:15 p.m. Sunday. Lance Cpl. Judd Jones says a 29-year-old tractor trailer driver from North Carolina was ahead of Lidge in the southbound lanes but was driving in reverse. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley says Lidge was not wearing a seatbelt. Authorities are still investigating. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt. |
