CATTLE
Direct Trade:
In the direct slaughter cattle trade in the Five Major Marketing Areas,
Texas/Oklahoma; Kansas; Nebraska; Colorado; Iowa/Minnesota; on Friday negotiated
cash trading has been inactive on very light demand. Not enough sales for a
market trend in any feeding region. The last reported market was on Thursday. In
the Texas Panhandle live sales sold from 127.00-128.00. In Kansas live sales
sold at 128.00. In Nebraska live sales sold from 127.00 to mostly 129.00 with a
few at 129.50. Dressed sales sold mostly from 203.00-204.00. In Colorado live
sales sold at 129.00. In the Western Cornbelt live sales sold from 126.00-128.00
mostly at 127.00. Dressed sales sold from 202.00 to mostly 203.00.
For the week:
Texas live sales steady to 3.00 higher
Kansas live sales 3.00 higher
Nebraska live sales 3.00 to 3.50 higher, dressed sales 4.00 to 7.00 higher
