US Sen. Scott making stops in Union, Jenkinsville

UNION, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is making a few stops in South Carolina while Congress is in recess.

The Republican's office says Scott is speaking to students at Union County High School on Friday morning. Later in the day, Scott is touring the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station near Jenkinsville.

Scott's office says both visits match up with some of Scott's work in Washington. He sits on the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and Energy and Natural Resources committees.
