Fred Storey of WTMA-AM to lead SC AP BroadcastersCOLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The news director of a Charleston radio station has been elected president of South Carolina Associated Press broadcasters for the coming year. Fred Storey of WTMA-AM was elected at the broadcasters' annual meeting in Columbia on Saturday. He replaced Karen Kelly, managing editor of WSPA-TV in Spartanburg. Eric Walters, managing editor of WBTW-TV in Myrtle Beach was re-elected as vice president for television. David Waterman, news director of WVOC-AM in Columbia, was elected vice president for radio. Four broadcasters were elected to the board of directors: Darryl Huger, assistant news director of WCSC-TV in Charleston; Kelly Golden, news director of WSCC-FM in Mount Pleasant; Brad Neuhoff, news director of WIS-TV in Columbia and Mary Bullard, assistant news director of WHNS-TV in Greenville. |
