CLOVER, S.C.-- Dozens of poorly treated dogs are ok because of concerned neighbors. Someone tipped off the York County Animal Shelter about a suspected puppy mill in Clover.
When crews checked it out, they found 24 malnourished and flea-bitten dogs. Even though one had to be put down, the Shelter's Director says the rescue was successful.
The owner handed the dogs over and was not charged. Once they are treated, the dogs will be sent to foster homes.
