I-77 Closures Expected to Last Longer

ROCK HILL, S.C.--Officials expect the backups on I-77 in Rock Hill to last a little longer.

Two lanes from Dave Lyle Boulevard to just north of Celanese Road were still closed Sunday night.

Crews said they expected to work until the Fourth of July weekend.

South Carolina DOT recommends driving on Mount Gallant or Celriver Road to avoid the construction zones.

Some drivers told WCCB they felt frustrated that DOT did not provide more alternate routes to take.
