EDGEFIELD COUNTY, SC -- Veterinarians from Charlotte are helping treat animals rescued from a suspected puppy mill in South Carolina.  Humane Society volunteers say they found about 250 dogs living in deplorable conditions at a home in Edgefield County.

The owner runs an online dog breeding website.  Officials found a pile of bones behind a shed.

Many of the dogs have health problems including being malnourished.  The Humane Society also rescued nine horses and about 40 ducks and chickens.
