Catawba, SC--The Wife of a man killed at a paper plant in York County makes strong accusations about her husband's death.

39-year-old Samir Storey died while doing maintenance inside a tank last week at the Resolute Forest Plant in Catawba, two other men were involved but survived the incident.

Samir's cousin Jermel was present when the accident took place. Jermel says he was unable to get to his cousin, who was left dangling in his harness inside the tank. He claims no one at the plant did anything to help save Samir.

“I was asking for help and I didn't see nobody moving to help my cousin; I felt helpless,” he said.

Storey's wife says the company did not properly train him for his job and says she's convinced that he didn't get the proper medical attention after the accident.

Storey's family hasn't filed a lawsuit but their attorney says safety needs to be examined, claiming this wasn't the first death at the plant. Four workers were burned last year due to equipment malfunction and two workers were killed in an explosion back in 2000.
